The Apparatus comprises a glass mount 90 x 30mm approximately with three 16 x 9mm apertures, each containing a diffraction grating replica.

The gratings are of 2400 lines/inch(96 lines/mm), 7500 lines/inch(300 lines/mm) and 15000 lines/inch(600 lines/mm) respectively, and are protected by cover glasses. The number of lines per inch is marked beneath each grating.
